Farren Named Vice President of Disney Resort

* Merritt Farren has been named vice president and general counsel for the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. He will be responsible for litigation, contractual matters and other legal and business affairs. Farren succeeds Rick Clair, who has joined the legal department at Buena Vista Home Video in Burbank. Prior to his appointment, Farren had been vice president of business and legal affairs at Disney Interactive and Disney Online.

* Marilee Copeland has been named event services manager for GT Bicycles Inc. in Santa Ana. She will oversee the planning, organization and execution of GT’s mountain bike event sponsorships.

* David M. Carlson has been appointed senior vice president, chief technology officer for Ingram Micro Inc., a Santa Ana wholesale distributor of technology products and services. Carlson is the former president of Customer Focused Technology Inc., and prior to that was vice president, technology and network services for FTD Corp. In addition, he served as senior vice president, chief information officer for Kmart Corp.

* Michael Cirella has been named a vice president and director of Melles Griot. He is general manager of the Melles Griot Photonics Components Group in Irvine.

* Jenny Rex has joined StarTronix International Inc., an Irvine marketer of technologies and Internet-related products and services, as director of investor relations. She was previously vice president of internal operations for TMP Investments Inc. in Santa Ana. Also, Dak Sanders has been named director of accounting and financial reporting. He was formerly with Arthur Andersen and Co.

* Michael D. Turner has joined the Irvine law firm of Kasdan, Simonds, McIntyre, Epstein & Martin. He had been a litigation associate with the law firm of Thomas E. Miller in Newport Beach.

* David Horowitz has been named general manager of the Hyatt Regency Irvine. Horowitz, a 16-year veteran with Hyatt Hotels Corp., was previously general manager of the Hyatt at Westlake Plaza.

* Joaquin Quesada has been appointed general manager for Aramark Sports & Entertainment Services at the Anaheim Convention Center. He succeeds Jeffrey Kern, who was named to head the company’s operation at Turner Field, the new home of the Atlanta Braves. Quesada had been operations manager for Aramark since 1993.
