In another Golden State Athletic Conference game:

Concordia 79, Fresno Pacific 74--Concordia (10-13, 3-5) shot 61.5% from the field, led by Greg O’Hagan, who scored 26 points and was 11 for 15 from the field. Rick Haywood added 15 points and Kalim Scott had 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Eagles, which also made 13 of 18 free throws.

Mark Larsen scored 16 points to lead Fresno Pacific (15-8, 5-3), which shot 50.9% from the field.

In nonconference men’s basketball:

Christian Heritage 76, Pacific Christian 62--Pacific Christian (3-24) was outrebounded, 57-35, by Christian Heritage (15-11). Charles Henderon and Matt Price scored 15 points to lead Pacific Christian.

Beau Sager scored a game-high 18 points for Christian Heritage.

In Golden State Athletic Conference women’s basketball:

Azusa Pacific 63, Southern California College 45--SCC (14-8, 2-5) made only 25% (6 of 24) of its shots from the field in the second half and only 33% in the game. Alana Kempton scored 16 points and Elaine Whittemore added 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Vanguards. Andrea Macciola scored a game-high 18 points and had 11 rebounds for Azusa Pacific (13-10, 5-2).

In nonconference women’s basketball:

Concordia 69, Fresno Pacific 64--Angela Sather scored 20 points and had eight rebounds for Concordia. Heather Carll added 14 points and Allison Fortner and Kristin Weddick scored 12 for the Eagles.

Brandi Daniels scored a game-high 26 points and had 13 rebounds for Fresno Pacific.

In women’s gymnastics:

Boise State wins--Heather Werner won the vault with a score of 9.775 as Boise State finished first with a total score of 193.450.

Cal State Fullerton’s Katy Maty won the floor exercise with a score of 9.800. Maty also won the all-around (38.775).

In nonconference baseball:

Southern California College 8, La Verne 0--Rob Pegg was two for three with a home run, a double and four RBIs for Southern California College (3-2). Jeremiah Taylor (1-0) pitched five innings, allowing three hits, three strikeouts and three walks for the Vanguards.

In the first game of the doubleheader, Donovan McReynolds (1-0) pitched a complete game, giving up two runs on eight hits, striking out five and walking none for the Vanguards.

In nonconference softball:

Long Beach State 4, Long Beach State Alumni 0--Amy Miner, Tammy Dietrich and Marie O’Beck combined on the one-hitter for Long Beach State, ranked No. 14 in the preseason. Miner also contributed at the plate, with the game’s first run in the second inning on a sacrifice fly.

Former All-American Linda Lunceford collected the only hit, a single, for the alumni.

Southern California College 16, CS Stanislaus 2--Gretchen Brandt pitched a one-hitter, striking out four and walking two for Southern California College (2-1-1).

Heather Rogers and Schellee Murie had triples and combined to drive in five runs.

In the first game of the doubleheader, Sarah Waters was two for four with two RBIs and Chrissy Vega was three for three, scoring four times and stealing three bases for the Vanguards.

In Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men’s volleyball:

Stanford 3, Long Beach State 0--Mike Lambert had 22 kills as Stanford defeated Long Beach State, 15-7, 15-11, 15-11. Stewart Chong had 69 assists for Stanford (5-1, 3-1).

Geoff Cryst had 26 kills for the 49ers. Gaby Amar had 16 kills for Long Beach State (7-2, 2-2).
