Dog Beaches

Re “Bark Watch?” Feb. 5:

Mellow out, L.A. officials. Giving our canine friends a place to romp is not the end of the world. We here in San Diego have had our “dog beach” for many years, and almost without exception it has worked very well. Why would there be “an enforcement nightmare” in L.A.? Leashed dogs are welcome here on any beach from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m.! Give it a try, you may be surprised.
