Information Sought on Theft of Tools
Ventura County sheriffs are asking for help in identifying the burglars who broke into an office and two homes under construction in Thousand Oaks and stole several thousand dollars worth of merchandise this month.
Sometime after 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 11, the thieves forced their way into an office at a construction site at 65 Haigh Road, officials said.
A cordless telephone, walkie-talkie, power saw, jackhammer, drill, spray guns, microwave oven and a set of wrenches are among the items missing.
The crime was discovered at 7 a.m. the next day, when workers returned to the site.
