Deputies on Lookout for Speeders at Park
A street that winds through the south end of Conejo Creek Park and another that serves as an entrance on the park’s east side have been designated the Traffic Tip of the Week by the Sheriff’s Department traffic bureau in Thousand Oaks.
Sgt. Ken Bailey said he has received numerous complaints about drivers speeding on Paige Lane and La Granada Drive. Paige is the south entrance to the park, while La Granada brings park goers in from the east. The roads connect at the Moorpark Freeway.
The speed limit in the residential area is 35 mph, and Bailey said pedestrians use the area adjacent to the roadway.
Today through Saturday, deputies will be patrolling to enforce the speed limit in the area, Bailey said.
