Joseph J. Lombardi; Special Effects Supervisor

Joseph J. Lombardi, 74, a special effects supervisor for a variety of movies and television series for more than 50 years. He held the position through 276 episodes of “I Love Lucy” and 234 episodes of “Wyatt Earp,” and worked for the Red Skelton and Dick Van Dyke shows. He also was special effects coordinator for such movies as “Con Air,” “Best Friends,” “Harold and Maude” and “The Godfather.” On Sunday in London of a viral infection.
