From Times Wire Reports

Unions battling privatization plans ordered state employees back to work after a nationwide strike grounded travelers at Tel Aviv’s international airport and disrupted rail and postal services. The Histadrut labor union said 60,000 workers at state-owned firms walked out in solidarity with employees of Bezeq. The Bezeq workers are fighting plans to privatize more of the telecommunications firm through the $250-million sale of 12.5% of its stock to Merrill Lynch.
