Tricia Taylor has been promoted to account services manager at Mayerson Marketing & Public Relations in Westlake Village. She has been with the company for a year.

Mayerson Marketing’s clients include Imation Corp.’s Camarillo factory, Cal Lutheran University and UCLA Medical Center.

* Edmond J. King has been named loan officer at the Oxnard office of North American Mortgage Co. He will work with real estate professionals and individuals to increase the company’s loan portfolio.

He also has developed a community education program to help low- and moderate-income and minority residents buy homes.

* Marcia Clark has been named director of physician services for Los Robles Hospital/Medical Center in Thousand Oaks. Clark will be responsible for implementing new hospital programs, strengthening existing ones and serving as program liaison with physicians.

Previously, Clark was director of the Columbia Cancer Center.

* John Tarazon has been named vice president and branch manager of the Camarillo office of Glendale Federal Bank. Before this assignment, he managed Glendale Federal’s Westlake Village office.

The Camarillo branch is at 470 Arneill Road.

* Westlake Village-based Dole Food Inc. promoted John Tate to vice president and chief financial officer, the company said.

Tate was previously CFO of Dole Europe, based in Paris, a division responsible for $1 billion of the food company’s revenue in 1996.

He joined Dole in 1993 as vice president of finance and administration for Dole Fresh Vegetables. Previously, he worked for Ryder System Inc., Sara Lee Corp., and Pepsico Bottling Group.

* Bill Simon has been named chief accounting officer at Dick Clark Productions Inc., in addition to being treasurer and controller at the Burbank-based entertainment company.

Simon replaces Ken Ferguson, who had been the company’s chief financial officer and chief accounting officer.

Simon has been with Dick Clark since 1991 and previously worked for the accounting concern KPMG-Peat Marwick.

* Lee Kanon Alpert, an attorney in Encino, has been named vice president of the Building and Safety Commission for the city of Los Angeles.

The commission hears appeals on zoning and safety issues. Alpert is also chairman of the board for the Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Centers.

* David Abel has been named chairman of CalStart, a Burbank-based advanced transportation research organization.

Abel is also an investor in SuperShuttle International and is chief executive of ABL Inc., a corporate consulting firm.

Abel replaces Michael Peevey, the former president of Southern California Edison, who is now president of New Energy Ventures.
