Conejo Valley Home Sales and Prices Up Over 1996

There were 350 single-family homes sold in the Conejo Valley in September, compared to 377 sold in August and 241 a year earlier, according to the Conejo Valley Assn. of Realtors.

The median sales price for all single-family homes in September was $269,402, up from $257,758 in September 1996. The median price is the point where half the units sold for more and half for less.

The median-price breakdown for September sales was $165,000 for 15 homes with up to two bedrooms; $221,210 for 126 three-bedroom homes; and $311,220 for 209 homes with four or more bedrooms.

A year earlier the median prices were $160,000 for 12 two-bedroom homes; $201,923 for 82 three-bedroom homes; and $340,908 for 147 homes with four or more bedrooms.

There were 101 condominiums sold in September, compared to 105 in August and 55 in September 1996.

Sales for all real estate transactions in September totaled $128.98 million. A year earlier the total was $78.32 million.
