Corvette Mike Revving Up for Expansion

Share

Corvette Mike, the Anaheim-based seller of classic and late-model Chevrolet Corvettes, finds that the market for America’s only home-grown sports car is great and getting better.

So much better, in fact, that owner Mike Vietro is opening a second dealership--in Boston--and says he has plans for several more. The Boston shop opens Nov. 15 and will have about 30 classic and late-model ‘Vettes on the showroom floor.

The 19-year-old company won’t say where subsequent facilities will be except that they will all be in the U.S. Corvette Mike, which buys and sells Corvettes of all eras, has customers throughout North America, Europe and Japan.

Vietro, who recently moved to Anaheim after being forced out of his longtime facility in Orange by a freeway widening project, says that expansion will be “careful and deliberate” to ensure that service doesn’t suffer.
