Suspended Ventura County Judge Robert C. Bradley remained in County Jail Sunday evening, held on $100,000 bail for allegedly violating terms of probation imposed after two drunk-driving convictions.

Bradley was arrested twice Saturday after allegedly getting drunk and harassing his estranged wife. Sheriff’s officials said they plan to present the case to the district attorney’s office today.

The 57-year-old former presiding judge of the Ventura County Superior Court faces up to a year in jail if convicted of violating his probation.

Bradley was suspended from his job after two drunk-driving convictions last winter. Consuming alcohol is a violation of his probation. He was arrested early Saturday after allegedly climbing through a window of Dorothea Bradley’s Ojai home while intoxicated, then refusing to leave.

After being released on $5,000 bail, he was taken back into custody Saturday night, after allegedly repeatedly telephoning his wife, who had obtained an emergency protective order against him after his arrest Saturday morning.

Bradley served 20 days in jail and was given an eight-year probation term after pleading guilty to two charges of drunk driving.

Since December, he has participated in three live-in alcohol treatment programs.

Deputies said Bradley appeared to have been drinking when they arrested him Saturday night at a halfway house in Ventura.
