Drive-By Shots Kill O.C. Man, Wound Another
A Santa Ana man was killed and another man was severely injured in an apparent gang-related drive-by shooting Friday night, police said.
Both men were shot several times. Officers found Antonio Rojas, 22, lying near Center and Anahurst streets about 11:35 p.m. He was taken to an undisclosed hospital where he was pronounced dead an hour later.
Rojas was a known Santa Ana gang member, Officer Danny Pitocco said.
The second man, who has not been identified, apparently began running after shots were fired, police said. Officers found him several houses down on Anahurst. He underwent surgery at UCI Medical Center in Orange, but his condition was not immediately known.
