Gun Club’s Annual Event Draws Protest
From Times Wire Reports
About two dozen animal rights activists protested outside the Dallas Gun Club, where they believed hunters were holding a pigeon shoot. Protesters said the club brought in about 25,000 birds for the annual shoot over the weekend. Club members declined to say if the shoot took place at their 700-acre site in Carrollton, a Dallas suburb. It could not be determined if the gunshots heard were participants shooting at pigeons or at clay targets.
