4 Wounded in Drive-By Shooting at Party
A drive-by shooting Thursday night into a house party left three adults and one youth wounded and Los Angeles police with few clues.
The victims were on the porch at 11:30 p.m. when one or two passengers started firing out of a vehicle in front of the home at 13929 Del Sur St., according to Det. Bob Brophy, a gang investigator at the Foothill LAPD Station.
“The victims aren’t speaking,” said Brophy, who called two of them gang members. “Typical gang bravado.”
The victims are two Pacoima men, ages 20 and 23, a 32-year-old Newhall woman and a 15-year-old Pacoima girl. Brophy declined to identify the wounded, fearing they would be subject to gang reprisals.
Although at least one victim was struck multiple times, none of the wounds was life-threatening, Brophy said.
Ambulances took the victims to Northridge Hospital Medical Center, Providence St. Joseph Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills and Pacifica Hospital of the Valley in Sun Valley.
Neither victims nor witnesses offered police descriptions of a suspect or vehicle.
