Koll Development Names Executive VP
* Barry A. Chase has been appointed executive vice president of the Western division of Koll Development Co. in Newport Beach. Before joining Koll, Chase held several executive-level positions at Cushman Realty Corp. in Los Angeles, including president and director of Cushman Investment and Development Corp., senior vice president and general counsel of Cushman Realty and president of Cushman Equities Corp. He also was executive vice president and general counsel of Sunrise Investments Inc.
* Frederick J. Grigsby Jr. has been named senior vice president of human resources and administration for Fluor Corp. in Irvine. He joined Fluor earlier this month. Grigsby succeeds Chuck Bradley, who will retire at the end of the year. Grigsby was formerly vice president, human resources for Thermo King Corp.
* Paul Woollatt is the new chief operating officer of Downey Savings and Loan Assn. in Newport Beach. He succeeds Dan Rosenthal, who was named president and chief executive. Woollatt had been director of retail banking for the last three years.
* Joseph C. Golba Jr. has been appointed vice president, advanced materials for Furon Co. in Laguna Niguel. Golba was formerly director, advanced process technology for Beckton Dickinson Technologies. Before that, he spent nearly 14 years with GE Co., where he held positions in corporate research and development.
* David Hutchison has been named executive chef of Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, a new restaurant in Newport Beach. He had been chef de cuisine of the Roaring Fork in Phoenix.
* William C. Hampton has been appointed director of U.S. Air Force Delta Programs in Huntington Beach for Boeing Co. He succeeds Walt Wilson, who will retire in early 1999. Hampton previously served for five years as Boeing program manager for Motorola Launch Services.
* Basil Garabet has been named chief operating officer for Melles Griot Photonics division in Irvine. He joined the company in 1996 and had been general manager of European operations.
* Joseph Fragnoli has joined the CPA firm of Corbin & Wertz in Irvine as manager of the entrepreneurial services department. He has more than 15 years of experience in the accounting industry, including owning and operating a family practice.
* David P. Robidoux has been named account executive for TH&M; Advertising in Tustin. He had been with the agency for three years, previously as junior account executive.
* Lynette Barsky has joined Ware & Malcomb Architects Inc. in Irvine as project manager for its interiors group. She was formerly a designer for Arch-Interiors Design Group in Los Angeles. In addition, Eric Scott has been named a job captain for the interiors department. He had been a job captain for City Design Collaborative in Boston.
* Hideo Amemiya has been appointed to the resort committee for the American Hotel and Motel Assn. He is vice president of hotel operations for the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim.
* Sharon A. Devaney has been named regional market manager of Bank of America’s commercial banking office in South County. Devaney, a senior vice president, succeeds Randall M. Friedman, who has been appointed regional market manager for the Century City commercial banking office. Devaney has been with the South County office since 1995, responsible for credit management.
* Robert J. Bernabe has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer of Tricor Mortgage Lending in Huntington Beach. He was most recently president of City Mortgage Services in Costa Mesa.
* Conrad Santiago has joined Thomas P. Cox Architects in Irvine. He has held positions with Ormonde Presentations in San Juan Capistrano, Schuss-Clark Architectural Corp. and Lorimer-Case Architects.
* Sue Silva has joined JMG Security Systems in Fountain Valley as director of administration. She had been general manager of customer service and quality at Westec Security in Newport Beach.
* William A. Morrison has been appointed vice president of sales for Procom Technology Inc.’s Enterprise Storage Networking group. Morrison was formerly vice president of enterprise sales at Vanguard; before that, he held several sales and sales management positions at Emass, a division of Raytheon.
* Mary Carrington has joined FileNet Corp. in Costa Mesa in the newly created position of senior vice president, general counsel. Carrington had been the company’s consulting general counsel since 1990.
* Andrew M. Hilbert has been named president and chairman of Hilbert & Associates Inc., a Cypress-based engineering firm. Hilbert succeeds his father, Lawrence M. Hilbert, the company’s founder. In addition, Richard L. Smart has been appointed operations manager. He joined the company in 1994.
