Chapman Events Director Retires
Vaughan Kelley, the director of special events and community relations at Chapman University, has retired from his position of 22 years.
The Costa Mesa resident has spent nearly 40 years at the university, both as a student and staff member. For the past 16 years, he has organized the American Celebration, Chapman’s largest fund-raising event.
Kelley graduated from then-Chapman College in 1962 and returned in 1975 as director of alumni relations and director of development.
His successor has yet to be named.
