Kidnapped Boy Found Unharmed
A 4-year-old boy reported kidnapped Wednesday from a relative’s home in Anaheim was found 90 minutes later at a park in Brea, police said.
A relative called police at about 2:15 p.m. to report that a bearded man in his 30s had abducted the child in a pickup from his home on Terrace Street, Anaheim police said.
Officers found the boy unharmed at Junior High Park. A 13-year-old friend of the child’s family helped to identify him, police said.
“We believe it’s a legitimate stranger abduction,” Anaheim Police Sgt. Joe Vargas said.
Police did not disclose the boy’s name because they are investigating the kidnapping as a possible sex crime, Vargas said.
