Optometry School Opens New Facility
The Southern California College of Optometry has dedicated its $9-million expansion.
The complex includes a $900,000 audio-visual system in the lecture hall, said Dennis Hollow, the college’s director of communications.
In the stadium-seating hall, students can attend lectures, view slides, videos and live clinic feeds and access the Internet--all from their seats.
The 22,000-square-foot expansion also includes a library, office space, administrative storage and a fitness center.
The project was built and developed by Irvine-based Snyder Langston and designed by LPA Inc.
