A vacant, dilapidated gas station at the intersection of La Paz Road and Marguerite Parkway will be replaced with an office building. The Planning Commission on Monday approved plans by property owner Best California Gas Co. to build a two-story, 17,000-square-foot office building with architecture that will mimic the city’s public library across the street. Commissioners spent about two hours fine-tuning the proposal before giving it unanimous approval.
