* Genesis Media acquired an 87,000-square-foot building at 5805 Sepulveda Blvd. in Van Nuys from Sepulveda Hatteras Ltd. for $11 million to serve as its headquarters. The seller was represented by Trevor Belden and John Battle of Lee & Associates. The buyer was represented by Stacy Vierhelig-Fraser of Charles Dunn Co.

* Telex Communications signed a 15-year, $9-million lease for 21,318 square feet at 800 S. Hope St. in Los Angeles to house the company’s telecommunications equipment. Kevin Bender and Rob Myers of Insignia/ESG represented the tenant. The landlord, ACF Management of Sherman Oaks, was represented in-house by Robert Beguelin.

* BRC Imagination Arts, a designer and builder of theme park attractions, has signed a 10-year, $6.5-million lease for a 48,000-square-foot building at 2711 Winona Ave. in Burbank that formerly housed an operations center for Glendale Federal Bank. Robert E. Carter, Todd D. Byer and John Hillman of Commercial Resource Real Estate Services represented both BRC and the landlord, Obradovich Investments.

* Asset Management Consultants Inc. acquired a 62,000-square-foot office building at 761 Corporate Center Drive in Pomona for $5.7 million from Phelan-Pannatoni Properties. Ed Indivik of Lee & Associates represented both the buyer and the seller.

* Manufacturer Berg Electronics Group Inc. signed a 10-year, $3.9-million lease for 39,280 square feet of space at 5700 Warland Drive in Warland Cypress Business Center in Cypress. The landlord, Warland Investments Co., was represented by David Prior, Todd Taugner and Murray Smith of Klabin Co. Berg Electronics was represented by Peter Castleton of Voit Commercial Brokerage.

* Burlington Coat Factory, a New Jersey-based operator of clothing stores, has signed a 10-year, $3-million lease for 67,104 square feet of retail space at 3870 Tyler St. in Riverside’s Tyler Street Plaza, according to Jon Friesen of Grubb & Ellis, who represented the landlord, Irvine-based Beauchamp Properties, in the transaction. Jon Graul of Landmark Commercial Real Estate represented the tenant.

* The Luciano Family Trust acquired the 58,000-square-foot Painter Business Park at 10901-10915 Painter Ave. in Santa Fe Springs for $2.8 million from Kausar. Chris Migliori and Chuck Gardner of Daum Commercial Real Estate Services represented the buyer. The seller was represented by Joel McCabe and Jim Ferryman of Seeley Co.

* Los Angeles Community Housing Development Corp. bought a 42,395-square-foot parcel of land at 3100-3120 S. Figueroa St. for $2.4 million from an investment group led by Burt Sugarman. The sellers were represented by John E. Alle of John Alle Co. The buyer was represented by Brad Luster of Major Properties.
