CYPRESS
The Police Department on Wednesday graduated nine citizen volunteers who will join the department’s current roster of 16 volunteers. The volunteers help the police with record keeping and making house checks for residents on vacation. Since the program’s inception in October 1997, the citizen volunteers have donated more than 6,500 hours to the department and conducted more than 2,100 house checks.
