TUSTIN
The City Council this week raised the assessment rate in the Tustin Ranch Landscape and Lighting District for the 1999-2000 fiscal year. The new rate represents an average $1.12 increase per residence, or a 2.2% increase over the current year’s rate. The increase mirrors the 2.2% increase in the Consumer Price Index from 1998 to 1999. The city expects to raise $406,509 from about 4,870 parcels subject to the assessment; the money will be used to pay for lighting and landscaping within the assessment district.
