Orange County Sheriff Mike Carona made a guest appearance at Tuesday’s City Council meeting. The sheriff--in office since January--thanked the council for the opportunity to serve the city. “I spend a lot of time in your community,” said Carona, a resident of nearby Orange. “It is a pleasure to provide services to you.” According to an Orange County sheriff’s spokeswoman, Carona is making an effort to visit the department’s contracted cities as a get-to-know-you gesture.
