Shaq Says Percentage Play Is Not for Him to Opt Out
What are the chances that Laker center Shaquille O’Neal will become a free agent this summer?
Apparently, the answer is .077321651%.
O’Neal attended the WNBA game between the Sparks and Houston in Houston Tuesday night. He told KRIV-TV he didn’t think he would be exercising an option in his contract allowing him to become a free agent.
How sure is he? “99.922678349%,” he said.
He added that he is eager to play for new Laker coach Phil Jackson.
“In this era, Phil Jackson is one of the greatest coaches ever so I’m looking forward to having the opportunity to play for him. I think he can help us a lot. He’s the type of coach that demands respect, demands every player on the team plays hard. It’s going to be fun playing for him.”
