Nominations Sought of Fast-Growing Firms

Nominations are being sought for the 1999 Los Angeles Technology Fast 50, an annual awards program presented by Deloitte & Touche LLP to recognize the fastest-growing technology companies in five Southern California counties, including Ventura.

Winning companies will be honored at an awards presentation in September. All finalists will be considered for the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500, which ranks the nation’s fastest-growing technology companies.

The deadline for nominations is May 10.

Nearly 30% of the winners in last year’s program had experienced a five-year revenue growth of more than 1,000%, Deloitte & Touche officials said.

To be considered for Fast 50 status, companies must develop or provide technology products or services; be headquartered in Ventura, Los Angeles, Riverside, Santa Barbara or San Bernardino counties (subsidiaries are not eligible); have 1994 revenues of at least $50,000; have 1998 revenues of at least $1 million; and have been in business for at least five years.
