Ford Motor Co. said that Philippe Paillart resigned as chief executive and chairman of its Ford Credit financing arm, 13 months after he joined the auto maker, and a new chief will be named in coming weeks. Paillart, 48, will serve as president of Ford’s financial services unit until sometime after January 2000.
