Share

A two-day auction of rugs today and Sunday will raise money for families and children with HIV.

About 100 new and antique rugs from Persia, India, Pakistan and China, worth about $200,000, will be auctioned with no minimum prices, said George Haroonian, vice president of the Rug Warehouse, which organized the auction.

He said he hopes the event will raise $30,000 for the nonprofit organization Tuesday’s Child, which supports families with children who have HIV or AIDS, Haroonian said.
