No. 2 Mater Dei 15, No. 7 Laguna Beach 3--Melissa Esmero swept in singles, 6-2, 6-1, 6-0, for host Mater Dei (3-0).
Laguna Beach is 1-2.
No. 3 Capistrano Valley 14, Laguna Hills 4--Senior Leigh Ann Merryman swept in singles, 6-2, 6-0, 6-1, for the visiting Cougars (4-1).
No. 8 Troy 18, Rosary 0--Freshman Serena Fermin swept in singles, 6-3, 6-0, 6-3, for host Troy (2-1). Michelle Dinh and Karen Eitan also won in doubles, 6-2, 6-0, 6-2, for Troy. Rosary is 4-1.
Western 11 1/2, No. 9 Cypress 9 1/2--Quang Tran won in singles, 6-0, and teamed with Melissa Dofredo to win in doubles, 6-3, 6-2, for host Western (5-0).
Cypress is 4-1.
Palos Verdes Peninsula 13, Corona del Mar 5--Nadia Vaughan won in singles, 6-3, 6-2, 7-5, for host Corona del Mar (1-3), the sixth-ranked team in Orange County. Vaughan improved to 9-3 in singles this season.
Palos Verdes Peninsula is 3-0.
Foothill 10, Mission Viejo 8--Kelly Lentz and Emily Hardy swept their doubles sets, 6-4, 6-3, 6-3 for Foothill (2-3) which won eight of the nine doubles sets in the match.
Villa Park 12, Edison 6--Amber Smetana swept her singles sets, 6-0, 6-4, 6-3 for Villa Park (2-2).
