* MiniMed Inc. of Sylmar announced the formation of the office of chief executive. Terrance H. Gregg, president and chief executive, will share executive leadership with Alfred E. Mann, chairman and chief executive.

Recent appointments to the executive management committee include Dave Morley, senior vice president; Steve Bowman, senior vice president, sales and marketing; Steve Shultz, senior vice president, human resources; and Kevin Wells, senior vice president, research and development.

MiniMed designs, develops, manufactures and markets infusion systems to deliver compounds to treat a variety of medical conditions, particularly diabetes.

* Whitney Cookson has been promoted to vice president of print advertising for Buena Vista Pictures Marketing of Burbank. Cookson will oversee print production related to one-sheet, outdoor and newspaper advertising.

Buena Vista Pictures is part of Walt Disney Co.

* DCH Technology of Valencia announced three new management appointments.

Ronald Ilsley has been hired as chief financial officer. Katie Schmitz de Fernandez has joined the company as vice president of strategic planning and alliances. She will help implement the company’s growth plans. Michael J. Kotwick has accepted the job of vice president. He will be responsible for investor, customer and market communications.

DCH Technology develops products used in the hydrogen-based energy industry.

* Douglas Hill, co-founder of Xylan Corp., has joined Malibu Networks of Calabasas as vice president of marketing.

Malibu Networks is developing network architecture for fixed wireless broad-band IP access.

* Allan Rentz has joined Word of Net of Sherman Oaks as director of marketing. He will pursue industry partnerships for the company, among other duties.

Word of Net develops automated online tools and services to boost Web site visibility and traffic.

* Jeff Salmon has been promoted to president of Dick Clark Communications Inc. in Burbank. He will continue to lead the communications group’s creative and client service teams and manage financial and administrative activities for the company.

The company produces television programming for broadcast and cable networks.

* Allan Seelig has joined Lee & Associates Commercial Real Estate Services as managing principal of the company’s Sherman Oaks office.

Lee & Associates is a Tustin-based commercial real estate brokerage firm with 19 offices in California, Nevada and Arizona.

* Countrywide Credit Industries of Calabasas announced two executive appointments to its strategic planning department.

David Bigelow has been named executive vice president and Adal Bisharat has been promoted to first vice president of the department. Bigelow will lead the strategic planning team. Bisharat has served as vice president of the group for the past year.

The company also said Lela Leong has been appointed branch manager of the Northridge office of Countrywide Home Loans Inc., a subsidiary of Countrywide Credit Services. She will oversee customer service and administration as well as underwriting and originating home loans for clients.

Countrywide provides consumer and business-to-business financial services in domestic and consumer markets.

* Peter E. Puzo has been promoted to executive vice president and managing director of Grubb & Ellis Co.’s Sherman Oaks office, which serves the northern Los Angeles area. He also directs the firm’s Santa Barbara office.

Grubb & Ellis is a commercial real estate firm based in Orange.

* James W. Obermayer has joined Kern Direct of Woodland Hills as vice president of sales and lead management. He will help clients tailor marketing programs.

Kern Direct is a direct-response marketing management firm.

* Christina Tallungan has been promoted to airline services coordinator at Cine Magnetics Video & Digital Laboratories’ Studio City office. She will serve as a liaison between airline services and theatrical distributors to expedite orders.

Cine Magnetics specializes in video, DVD, CD-ROM and film duplication services.
