HUNTINGTON BEACH
The City Council on Monday decided to include nine new library jobs for the Huntington Beach Library system in the city’s proposed budget for fiscal 2001.
The positions include two full-time librarians to help assist patrons with questions regarding the Internet and the library’s new policy of blocking access to certain sites containing pornography, hate groups and heavy profanity. The other full-time positions include two librarians, a facilities coordinator to handle events at the library’s theater and meeting rooms and a theater media technician to handle video conferencing and theater operations.
