Eric Frankel to Head Warner Bros. Domestic Cable Distribution Unit

* Eric Frankel has been named president of Warner Bros. Domestic Cable Distribution, effective in January, succeeding Edward Bleier, who is retiring as president of Warner Bros. Domestic Pay-TV, Cable & Network Features. Frankel, currently executive vice president of marketing in the domestic division, will transfer to Warner Bros. Studios offices in Burbank in September.

* El Segundo-based Hawthorne Financial Corp., parent of Hawthorne Savings, has named Karen Abajian chief financial officer. She previously was senior vice president and controller of Imperial Bank in Inglewood.

* Jonathan Watts has become an owner-principal of the Marina del Rey-based architecture design firm Cuningham Group. Watts heads the entertainment development studio in the firm’s Los Angeles office.

* Colliers Seely, a Los Angeles-based commercial real estate brokerage firm, has appointed Brian Campbell senior vice president. He previously was president of brokerage IREG Inc., a company that he founded.

* IFsec, a New York-based information-security consulting firm, has expanded its media and entertainment practice with the opening of an office in Los Angeles. The office will be led by Melissa Russell, IFsec’s director of business development, West Coast.

* Marc Ferrell has been appointed chief executive of Bellwood General Hospital in Bellflower and Orange County Community Hospital of Buena Park. He previously was an executive at Dallas-based Specialty Healthcare Services Inc.

* Kevin Kaseff has been promoted to managing director, acquisitions investment group, in the Los Angeles office of commercial property manager Insignia Financial Services.
