Solomona Case Is in Jury’s Hands
Jurors on Monday began deliberating the fate of Buena Park homeowner Peter Solomona, a 49-year-old grandfather accused of murdering a teenage prankster by shooting him in the head with a .357-magnum revolver.
The seven-man, five-woman jury deliberated three hours before breaking for the day. At issue is Solomona’s mental state at the moment he fired the shot that killed 17-year-old Brandon Ketsdever.
Prosecutors contend Solomona acted intentionally. Solomona claims the shooting was a tragic accident. If convicted, Solomona faces a potential 50-years-to-life prison term.
