Father Jailed in Baby’s Death

A man remained jailed without bail on a first-degree murder charge Saturday after his arrest in the death of his 2-month-old daughter, who had been left in a car with the windows rolled up for at least five hours.

Terrence Lake, 30, told the baby’s mother that he had forgotten Kenya in the car Wednesday afternoon, according to an affidavit. Outside temperatures ranged from 79 to 81 degrees, the National Weather Service said.
