SAN CLEMENTE
The City Council will review a master plan to build a new civic center, parks and a senior center to accommodate an anticipated growth of 15,000 residents by 2011.
Laura Reinsimar, an assistant to the city manager, said a new civic center is needed because the existing facility is too small. The new center, projected to be completed by 2007, will also house all city departments that are currently spread out in different locations.
The price for the new center will depend on the location--from $7 million in North Beach to $16.6 million downtown.
