VILLA PARK
The Villa Park Community Access Television Corp. received $50,000 from Adelphia Communications Corp. during the City Council meeting Tuesday. The funding will allow the city’s television company to update its studio and mobile equipment. Adelphia agreed to provide the funding as an incentive to the city to keep Adelphia as its cable provider after the cable company bought the city’s cable company, Century Communications, last year. The cable company will provide another $50,000 at a later date.
