3 Teenagers Held in Stabbing of Youth
Police arrested three teenagers in connection with the stabbing of a 17-year-old youth Friday in Van Nuys, authorities said.
The victim was apparently stabbed in the abdomen as he got off a bus. Officials said he ran into an Amtrak station in the 7700 block of Van Nuys Boulevard at about 3:45 p.m., pleading for help.
Amtrak agent Michael Garetti said the boy was bleeding profusely from his stomach.
“I saw all this blood and a hole in his stomach,” he said. “I called 911 and when I came back, he was lying in a pool of blood.”
The victim was taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, where he was listed in good condition.
