PLACENTIA
The city has opened bids to renovate Vaqueros Park, a 5.4-acre parcel on the eastern side of the city close to Yorba Linda. The $200,000 project will be split into four phases: installation of a new playground, setting up a new picnic area, building an irrigation system and rebuilding a children’s fort, preferably handled by one contractor. The Parks and Recreation Commission voted to build the first three phases, leaving the last one pending if money allows.
