Looking for Steve

Because I really enjoy Steve Martin, and was excited about his hosting the Academy Awards, I was anxious to open the paper and go to the Calendar section to read all about it (cover photo, March 25).

The cover of the Calendar section referred me to Page 3.

Page 3 has nothing about Steve. On Page 7, I find a picture of Steve with call-outs to his body parts. Cute.

So now I look for the article. The article that covers his take on hosting the Oscars. Perhaps your interview with him about it, maybe a hint of what he plans to do. Nothing.

I think a cover on the Calendar section provides a reasonable expectation of more than a page with another picture covering the whole page with some call-out sayings.

The full-page photograph of Martin as “One Well-Prepared Host” (March 25) illustrating how he planned to “use everything he’s got” at the Oscars, with designated parts of his body to fulfill that quest, has a history to it.
