* Re “Seeing a Greener Big Screen,” March 27: “A lot of the things we learn, we are learning from TV and movies,” according to [executive director of the Environmental Media Assn.] Debbie Levin. Shall we presume this quote could also apply to violence? If it does, should we take to heart that [“Erin Brockovich” producer] Michael Shamberg’s comment, “People need protection from these large corporations that are really unaccountable,” could also apply to Hollywood itself? If so, just what should we do about these unaccountable, large corporations that love to brag how they are leaders in one movement and deny any involvement whatsoever in another?

* If just by sharing his observations, President Bush can talk the economy down, can Hollywood/the news media entertain, act, direct, produce, write, sing, rap, celebrate, award and glorify down sexual promiscuity, violence and crime? Is this possible?
