Man Pinned Between Two Cars Is Killed
A Palmdale man died after he was pinned between two cars, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Friday.
Rafael Buendia, 41, was crushed as he tried to reattach a tow rope between two cars in the eastbound lane of Avenue N, near 10th Street West.
A woman drove a passenger car into the rear of Buendia’s car, pinning him between two vehicles, according to the Sheriff’s Department. He died from injuries suffered in the accident, which occurred at 10:40 p.m.
The victim’s brother, Teodoro Buendia, 39, also of Palmdale, was driving the car towing Buendia’s when the rope broke, said Sgt. Mark Cleaves.
