District Names New Assistant Superintendent
The principal of Ventura’s new Foothill Technology High School has been hired as a top-level administrator in Oxnard Union High School District.
Judy Warner will become an assistant superintendent overseeing educational services for the district’s six high schools in Oxnard and Camarillo. She replaces Gary Davis, who was promoted to superintendent earlier this year following the school board’s firing of former Supt. William Studt.
Warner is not new to the Oxnard district. She worked as a mentor counselor and assistant principal from 1984 to 1993. From 1974 to 1984, she taught at Channel Islands High School and was a work-experience counselor at Hueneme High.
She will begin her new assignment Jan. 7, district officials said.
