Granada Hills 82, Taft 80--Mike Louthian and Ryan Hicks each scored four points in overtime and the Highlanders upset the No. 3-ranked Toreadors in a West Valley League game at Granada Hills.

Manny Cortez had 20 points for Granada Hills (9-15, 3-3) and Steve Smith had 23 for Taft (16-5, 5-1).

Westlake 66, Simi Valley 59--Dustin Villepigue scored 37 points on 17-of-20 shooting, but the Pioneers (16-7, 5-4) lost a fourth Marmonte League game for the first time since the 1995-96 season at Simi Valley.

Simi Valley, two-time defending league champion, had a 46-6 record in league the previous four seasons.

Reserve Tyler Adamczyk scored 27 points for the Warriors (10-8, 4-3).

Thousand Oaks 89, Royal 48--Ben Olson had 20 points for the second consecutive game to help the No. 2-ranked Lancers to their eighth consecutive victory in a Marmonte League game at Thousand Oaks.

Thousand Oaks (17-4, 7-1) played without leading scorer Kyle Kegley, who suffered a sprained ankle in an 80-47 victory against Agoura on Wednesday.

Chaminade 60, Notre Dame 56--Scott Borchart made 14 of 19 shots, including the go-ahead basket in overtime, and the Eagles (14-7, 5-3) held the Knights scoreless in the extra period in a Mission League game at Chaminade.

Borchart, who converted all six of his free throws, finished with 34 points and 14 rebounds.

Cody Pearson scored 21 of his 26 points in the second half and made two free throws with five seconds remaining in regulation to send the game into overtime for Notre Dame (17-5, 5-3).

Buena 51, Ventura 50--Roosevelt Bolden’s layup with six seconds to play gave the Bulldogs a Channel League victory at Ventura College.

Bolden had 11 points and six assists. Wes Cobos had 12 points for Buena (14-8, 3-2).

Bryan Easterly scored 13 points for Ventura (13-9, 3-2).

Oxnard 72, Hueneme 54--Nicholas Curtis had 28 points and 15 rebounds for the Yellowjackets, The Times’ No. 1-ranked team, in a Pacific View League game at Hueneme.

Oxnard (19-3, 5-0) won its ninth consecutive game and 21st consecutive league game.

Frank Orocio scored 14 points for Hueneme (4-11, 1-4).

Muir 61, Hoover 48--Jamaal Hall scored 17 points and the Mustangs (20-2, 6-0) extended a one-point halftime lead to win a Pacific League game at Hoover.

Armen Baghdasarian scored 17 points for Hoover (9-11, 2-4).

Crescenta Valley 80, Pasadena 76--Chris Tarne scored 13 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter, leading the Falcons to a comeback victory in a Pacific League game at Pasadena.

Jimmy Goffredo scored 22 points, including four three-pointers, for the Falcons (17-5, 5-1), who trailed by 10 points in the third quarter.

James Jenkins had 25 points and 12 rebounds for the Falcons, ranked No. 7 in the region.

Sylmar 108, Van Nuys 33--George O’Garro had 24 points, nine rebounds, seven steals and five blocked shots for the Spartans in a Valley Mission League game at Sylmar.

Louis Darby had 21 points and eight rebounds for Sylmar (11-9, 6-0).

North Hollywood 76, Verdugo Hills 35--David Danipour scored 15 points to lead the Huskies (15-5, 5-1) in a Sunset Six game at North Hollywood.

Monroe 49, Kennedy 48--Victor Hines scored 13 of his 17 points in the second half to help the Vikings (10-7, 4-2) to a Valley Mission League victory at Monroe.

Chatsworth 83, Cleveland 69--Brandon Robinson had 17 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists in a West Valley League game at Chatsworth.

Scott Johnston had 29 points and 20 rebounds for the Chancellors (13-7, 4-1).

Birmingham 65, El Camino Real 62--Nick Halic scored 20 points and Haig Tatian had 17 points and 12 rebounds for the Patriots in a West Valley League game at Birmingham.

Buckley 83, Avalon 56--Colin Ward-Henninger had 34 points and 10 rebounds for the Griffins, ranked No. 6 in the Cal-Hi Sports state Division V poll, in a Liberty League victory at Avalon (4-14, 1-8).

Alex Clancy scored 18 for Buckley (16-1, 7-0).

GIRLS

Burroughs 60, Hart 51--Burroughs scored the first six points of the Foothill League game on turnovers at Burroughs.

Hart, the No. 9-ranked team in the region by The Times, narrowed its deficit to 47-46 with about four minutes left in the game.

But Danica Cunningham, who scored 19 points, hit a three-point shot for Burroughs (9-12, 2-4).

Brandi Kimble scored 12 points for Hart (15-5, 4-2).

Saugus 54, Canyon 45--AnnMarie Summerhays scored 14 points and the No. 5-ranked Centurions held off the Cowboys in a Foothill League game at Canyon.

Sheridan Arredondo had 14 rebounds for Saugus (18-3, 5-1), which led by two points after the third quarter.

Erica Doyle scored 17 points for Canyon (13-9, 2-4).

Simi Valley 61, Westlake 31--Teresa Cooper scored 23 points for the Pioneers (17-6, 6-3) in a Marmonte League victory at Westlake.

Montclair Prep 71, Campbell Hall 57--Jasmine Wesley had 27 points and 16 rebounds for the Mounties in a Delphic League victory at Montclair Prep.

Eshaya Murphy had 25 points and 21 rebounds for Montclair Prep (17-0, 6-0).

Taft 75, Granada Hills 45--Schquay Brignac had 14 points in a West Valley League victory at Taft.

Gillian Guenther scored 13 points for No. 3-ranked Taft (17-0, 6-0), which led at halftime, 39-16.

Kelly Beckler scored 13 points for Granada Hills (11-10, 2-4).

Valencia 64, Burbank 48--Stephanie Patterson had 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Vikings (18-4, 5-1) in a Foothill League victory at Valencia.

Monroe 56, Kennedy 43--Amber Burgin and Desiree Norihiro each scored 18 points to lead the Vikings (11-5, 6-0) in a Valley Mission game at Kennedy.

Jevay Grooms scored 26 points for the Golden Cougars (7-13, 2-3).

North Hollywood 75, Verdugo Hills 34--Richelle Sherman had 17 points and 16 rebounds for the Huskies (13-8, 6-0) in a Sunset Six victory at Verdugo Hills.

La Canada 43, San Marino 41--Megan McCoy scored seven of 16 points in the final three minutes, including a three-point basket that gave the Spartans (12-10, 6-0) the lead for good in a Rio Hondo League game at La Canada.
