Police Seek Help in Finding Alleged Killer

Orange County sheriff’s investigators appealed for help Monday in finding a truck driver who allegedly killed his girlfriend at her San Juan Capistrano workplace this month.

Sheriff Mike Carona said detectives believe Frederick Guest, 44, of Ontario, fatally stabbed Julie Marie Sangari at a video distribution business on July 13.

Neighbors heard screams that afternoon from her office on Alipaz Street and went to investigate. When they knocked on the office window, Guest opened the door, Carona said.

“The suspect said everything was OK, yet he was covered in blood,” Carona said.

Guest fled before sheriff’s deputies arrived and has eluded authorities, Carona said. Detectives believe Guest might be living in Ontario or Compton, where his father lives, or Chicago, Ill., where relatives and friends live.
