Developer Overton Moore Properties broke ground Monday on a 170,000-square-foot office building in Los Angeles near El Segundo.

The $30-million Cross Point project is being built on a speculative basis with no advance leasing. The site is on La Cienega Boulevard near the interchange of the 105 and 405 freeways.

The L-shaped building features an all-glass exterior and a two-story lobby entrance.

Inside, the interior space can be configured to appeal to traditional office users or firms that want an unconventional environment with exposed ceiling trusses and open floor plans.

“Cross Pointe is truly a high performance building with an environment that appeals to both Armani-draped executives and khaki-clad techies,” said Craig Meyer of Colliers Seeley, the building’s broker. It will open this year.
