BDO Seidman to Serve as Auditor for Aspeon

Aspeon Inc., an Irvine maker of point-of-sale systems and software for the retail and food service industries, said Monday that it has retained BDO Seidman LLP as its independent auditing firm.

Aspeon did not say why it hired BDO to replace PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Aspeon said in a press release that it will work with BDO’s Costa Mesa office to complete and file Aspeon’s reports for the past two quarters “as soon as possible.”

The company’s stock fell 2 cents to close at 29 cents a share in over-the-counter trading.
