Bus Headlights On to Honor War Dead
Bus drivers for the Orange County Transportation Authority will turn on their headlights for five minutes on Memorial Day to honor those killed in the nation’s wars, agency officials said Friday.
All 204 buses scheduled for service on the national holiday will participate in the gesture, which starts at 3 p.m., authority officials said.
“It is a good way for the drivers and the OCTA to show their gratitude,” said Michael Ward, chairman of the agency’s board of directors.
