Saving Energy at Hotels
Having just returned from a tour of Spain, and in view of our energy crisis, we found a gimmick that the entire West Coast would be wise to latch onto: In better hotels throughout Spain, the card key activates the electricity in your room. Because you must take the card with you to get back in, there is no way to leave a light on. Upon return, when the card is reinserted, all the desired switches are operable again. The device also notifies the maid whether the room is occupied.
