An Ontario Company Is Honored for Promoting Minority Homeownership

California Capital Companies of Ontario was among seven national winners of the first annual HOPE awards, given to companies and individuals in recognition of outstanding contributions in promoting home-ownership by minorities.

The Home Ownership Participation for Everyone, or HOPE awards were established by real estate associations including the California Assn. of Real Estate Brokers, the Chinese American Real Estate Professionals Assn. of Southern California, the National Assn. of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals.

Winners received $10,000 each and a trophy on Oct. 10 at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C.

A panel of judges including Henry Cisneros, former secretary of Housing and Urban Development; and Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Los Angeles), selected winners in the following categories: homeownership education, finance, project of the year, real estate brokerage, public policy, media coverage and leadership.

California Capital Companies received the award in the brokerage category.
