* Philip Morris Cos. shareholders voted to let the world’s biggest tobacco company change its name to Altria Group Inc. and elected Chief Financial Officer Louis Camilleri president and chief executive.

* United Airlines said it has reached a tentative contract deal with the union representing 23,000 ramp, customer service and other workers. Details were not released. With the agreement, United now plans to ask all labor groups for concessions to help return the airline to financial stability.

* JetBlue Airways Corp., the discount airline that first sold shares to the public this month, said first-quarter earnings rose 93% to $13 million, or 34 cents a share. Sales more than doubled to $133 million.

* Japanese auto maker Nissan Motor Co. plans to expand its work force by about 4,000 employees, including about 2,500 jobs at its new plant in Mississippi. The increases are the first since Carlos Ghosn arrived from Renault of France in late 1999 to head the company.
