Fire Prompts Evacuation at Disneyland Hotel
From Times staff reports
A small fire that started in a laundry room at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim forced the evacuation of 892 guests Tuesday morning, fire authorities said.
Investigators were trying to determine the cause.
No one was injured in the fire, which started just before 3 a.m.
An 83-year-old woman was taken to a hospital after she complained of chest pains, said Anaheim spokeswoman Maria Sabol.
The blaze charred one wall and caused water damage. It was quickly extinguished by a sprinkler before firefighters arrived, Sabol said.
